Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) offer At St James' CE First School we believe all children deserve to reach their full potential. We will always strive to provide the best support for any child with Special Education Needs or a disability.

Our Inclusion Coordinator is Mrs Kathryn Cousins. Our Governor with responsibility for SEND is Gill Dudley. We have well trained staff who work hard to support pupils with SEND and they continue to achieve good progress during their time at our school. Every pupil will have the opportunity to learn all of the National Curriculum subjects at the level that suits their learning. We are committed to narrowing the attainment gap between pupils with SEND and those who do not. This may include school interventions, home-school learning programmes or other learning interventions developed on an individual needs basis.
